Big news of the day was D-Wade's injury. Thats a huge loss for the Heat and the NBA in general. He is one of the biggest stars in the NBA and the national TV schedule has many telecasts planned around him and now those Heat games are not as much fun to watch. There's a Wade-LeBron game on ABC this weekend thats just not relevant now. They put on a tremendous show last year. One of the best regular season game you'll ever see. Shaq is still a big name, but the Heat are Wade's team now. Not sure how bad the injury is, but it doesn't look good now. The contact itself looked harmless and it was not one of those Wade flying through the air and crashing into bodies injury. He just extended his arm, reached in and hit Shane Battier as Shane was driving to the basket, but he immediately collapsed in severe pain. They had to cart him away in a wheelchair. The Heat lost to the Rockets and McGrady had 32-3-8
James scored 29 points, and Varejao slammed home teammate Sasha Pavlovic's missed shot with 16 seconds left to lift the Cavaliers to an 86-85 victory over the Raptors. The Suns took care of the Celtics at home. Nash had 14 and 13 and STAT had 32-12. Marion had 17-11 and 4 blocks. Amare is scoring 30 routinely these days. He might be back to his peak form already.
There were a few other interesting games on a busy day. Bucks lost at Indiana in double OT. Redd had 38 points. This guy is a true scorer. But O'Neal's 29-15 was too much for the Bucks. Mike Miller scored 45 points against the Warriors in a losing effort. He hit 16-27 shots with 9-17 being 3's. He put on a great show, but the young Warriors had balanced scoring on their side and won it at the end. Biedrins and Monta Ellis are just special players. Look out for them.
Thursday is the Trade deadline. Lets see what happens. Apparently Cleveland is desperate to get Mike Bibby.
Miami @ Houston - 102-112
Cleveland @ Toronto - 86-85
Boston @ Phoenix - 108-118
Interesting games on the board for Feb 22-nd (Thursday)
Miami @ Dallas - Without Wade, this may not be the match-up we all expected.
Chicago @ Cleveland - Good central match-up between teams that are pretty close to each other in the standings.
