NBA notes - 02/12/2007

Not a very busy (or interesting) day in the NBA. The paper-Clips got blown out at Detroit without Elton Brand. Another string game for C-Webb. He had 19-9-2 in just 28 mins. This deal is working out really well for Detroit. Warriors lost at Denver and also got the bad news that Baron Davis is going to have another knee surgery. Baron Davis is killing them every game he doesn't play. I mean they have very little talent outside of him and it seems like they never have a full team for more than a few straight games because he is so fragile. This guy is one of the best guards in the league when healthy, but he rarely is healthy. This injury pretty much wraps up another lottery season for the Warriors unless Mullin pulls another shocker by getting Pau Gasol or something. Atlanta went in to Utah and lost as expected. Their road-luck finally dried up. Deron Williams had a 7-9-6 night. He is quietly shaping up as one of the top point guards in the league. Apparently he was upset that Sports Illustrated didn't list him as one of their point guards of the future in their NBA season preview edition. I don't blame him. I was surprised to not see him in that article either. They even had his backup Dee Brown in that list.

Golden State @ Denver - 111-123
Atlanta @ Utah - 76-102

Interesting games on the board for Feb 13-th (Tuesday)

Toronto @ Chicago - 2 good L-Eastern conference teams meet up.

San Antonio @ New Jersey - Spurs road trip continues. Lets see if they can win @ NJ.
