Big win for Heat today against a solid Utah team. Utah had won a bunch of games coming into this game and Heat were going for their 7-th straight themselves. Interesting game till the end and the Heat again won behind some balanced scoring. Antoine Walker had a strong night scoring and the Heat are just clicking right now for whatever reason. The Okur-Boozer gang played well, but just fell short.
The King took the day off with back spasms and the Cavs beat the Kings anyways. They are now 3-0 without LeBron. Go Figure! Ira Newble went from nowhere on the bench to the starting small forward to score 12 points. Goes to show you how hard it is to survive in this league. There are tonnes of talented guys who can't even get on the floor. Thats how competitive things are in American professional sports leagues. Another guy who I always thought would do well if he got a chance, Sasha Pavlovic, scored 25 to match Larry Hughes's 25. I am glad the Coach is finally using players like Sasha because, for a while, he never valued offensive talent and just went with people who he thought are good defensively. The King needs help on offense and Sasha is one of the few guys in that team with some true offensive skills.
Tony Parker had 25 as the Spurs won their 13-th straight. Clippers are going down a slippery slope right now. C-Webb had a 24-8-6 night as the Pistons won at Seattle. Josh Smith had an awesome 26-17 night as the 76'ers lost at Atlanta. Phily has been on a roll lately. Richard Jefferson had a big night with 26-6-3 as the Nets won on the road against the Hornets. Good win for Minnesota too.
Big game tomorrow between Dallas and Phoenix.
Sacramento @ Cleveland - 100-124
Utah @ Miami - 86-88
LA Clippers @ San Antonio - 84-93
Interesting games on the board for Mar 14-th (Wednesday)
Phoenix @ Dallas - Great match-up after a while in the NBA. Suns are 0-2 this year against the Mavs.
New York @ Toronto - Suddenly a relevant game.
